ANIMAL WELFARE STATEMENT FROM THE WILLIAMS LAKE STAMPEDE ASSOCIATION
The Williams Lake Stampede Association (WLSA) produces and manages the annual Williams Lake Stampede in the City of Williams Lake. This volunteer driven event celebrates western tradition and country heritage of the Cariboo / Chilcotin region and has grown to one of the largest community events outside of the lower mainland.
The WLSA is a strong proponent of animal welfare, we believe that the animal human bond in society is important and that humans are responsible for the support and use of animals for food, fibre, service, companionship, exhibition and entertainment. Along with this bond comes the true responsibility to provide humane care and proper treatment for all animals.
