The Williams Lake Stampede would not exist without the tireless efforts of the Board of Directors and they are just a part of the story.  Hundreds of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds give their time, expertise and a whole lot of elbow grease to make this world famous rodeo a success.  Hats off to all of you! And, we hope to see you all at the Williams Lake Stampede!

WLSA PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

APRIL 2018

Welcome to the 92nd edition of the Williams Lake Stampede !
With the memories of last summers wildfire challenges still fresh in our minds, the Stampede weekend is an opportunity for all of us to enjoy ourselves and celebrate the resiliency and spirit of the Cariboo.
Like the pioneers who started this great event so many years ago, the Williams Lake Stampede gives us all an opportunity to put our daily lives on hold and have some fun.
This weekend is the perfect time to celebrate our western heritage and the important role it continues to play in our region.
I encourage you to sample all we have to offer; professional rodeo action, kids activities, live entertainment, parade, Let ‘R Buck saloon, animal athlete tour, and our unique events featuring local competitors, the Mountain Race, Ranch Challenge, and Cowgirl Race.
If you are visiting us from out of town our Stampede Campground is the perfect place to relax and spend a few days.
A heartfelt thank you from the board of directors to everyone who makes this weekend possible, volunteers, spectators, and sponsors.  Now sit back and enjoy “The Greatest Show on Dirt”, the Williams Lake Stampede.

Tim Rolph, President
Williams Lake Stampede Association

Cariboo-Chilcotin Wildfire Relief Event

Our Wildfire Fundraiser held at the end of September 2017 has raised over $60,000 that we committed to return to our community.  Organizations that were impacted by our community wildfires unable to hold annual fundraisers and organizations that were instrumental in our evacuations were recognized. A list of groups and organizations that we were able to contribute funds to are noted below.
